Our common core standards address a lot of the same concepts all year. This will allow the students to have the opportunity to exceed in all of our standards. We have a different primary focus in each nine weeks, so you will see mainly literary texts in the first and third nine weeks and informational (non-fiction) throughout the second and fourth nine weeks. Below I will provide tools that should help the students review most of the content we cover.

This nine weeks we are looking at literary texts, mostly fictional, and informational writing.

In March we will begin a march madness with language arts concepts. There will be a packet coming home with practice, vocabulary, and definitions of the concepts. It will be due at the end of the month.
